Chicago Shops (Fall 2006)
Annual Guide to the Best Stores in the Chicago Area
“Modeled after an old fashioned hat store, this modern men’s boutique gives guys a place to chill out and stock up. Dark leather armchairs, a plasma screen TV, and steel fixtures provide a masculine backdrop for Theory suits; casual wear by Trovata, Fred Perry, James Perse and Ted Baker; and jeans by Serfontaine. Accessories run the gamut; look for grooming products by Billy Jealousy and men’s jewelry by Me&Ro.”

Man Boutiques – New generation of designer shops for men are popping up all over the city – and ladies, their employees are waiting to help you re-dress your guy
“Bored with his lawyer gig defending school boards, self-professd clothes horse Adam Beltzman recently set up shop in part of the former Barbara’s Bookstore space at Cobbler’s Square. Complete with upscale grooming supplies from Billy Jealousy, cool clothes and free candy, the sleekly designed Haberdash is modeled after old-fashioned haberdasheries – intimate men’s clothing shops devoid of department store hassles and headaches. . .”

Chicago Magazine (October 2005)

“Old School – A men’s clothing store in Old Town takes a classic approach to service and promises to give grown-up guys a hip but decidedly polished new look.
‘Most men want snazzing up,’ says Adam Beltzman, 30, whose long, lean style may be just the inspiration guys need to get it together. A former lawyer, Beltzman channled his affinity for his favorite clothing lines into the ultimate walk-in closet. At a time when every shop owner has a shtick, Haberdash is handsomely straightforward. The in-store plasma screen television is standard fare; not so the warm and woody interior with spacious dressing rooms delineated by tall walnut pivot doors that actually provide privacy. . . Heavy S-hooks suspend jeans in many styles and washes. . .The clothing here separates the men from the boys.

Time Out Chicago (September 29 – October 6, 2005)
“Blast from the past – Old Town’s Haberdash harkens back to the days of old when men had a one-stop shop for all their wardrobe and tailoring needs. Haberdash brings that concept to the modern man with a collection of casual denim, t-shirts, button-downs and blazers from James Perse, Inhabit, Fred Perry and Trovata. It also stocks sophisticated shirts, ties and pants from Theory, Ted Baker and Duncan Quinn.”
